I live by the motto above, "Self Care Is Not Selfish". I always tell my clients, you can't fill everyone else's cup if you don't first fill your own. As a busy single mom of two active boys running a business and coaching two varsity teams, self care is essential to my well being. After navigating a divorce that lasted years, through a global pandemic at that, there is one thing I learned- I need to take care of my mental health. It has to be a priority. I did this through daily movement, therapy and lots of self help books and podcasts. Some days it was by attending a hot yoga class (many days!) others it was by going for a walk solo or with friends. One thing was for sure, I not only physically needed to move my body in a way that felt good for me, it gave me clarity and peace and was a non-negotiable.
